How Your Genshin Farm Calendar Is Built – Step by Step
Introduction: Why This Matters
Genshin Impact’s daily and weekly farming system can be overwhelming — with limited Resin, rotating domains, and character-specific materials, it's easy to lose track. That’s where Genshin Farm Calendar comes in: this tool helps you generate a personalized farming calendar tailored to your selected characters and weapons. But how is your calendar actually built? Below is a transparent, step-by-step breakdown of the logic and rules used to generate your plan.
Calendar Generation Logic (Overview)
When you click "Update Plan", the system uses the following logic:
-
Resin Planning
- Assumes 180 Resin per day (the maximum natural regeneration in 24 hours).
- Resin is allocated by priority: domains, boss drops, talent books, etc.
- Uses Condensed Resin whenever possible (3 runs = 1 Condensed Resin).
-
Start Date & Plan Types
There are two distinct actions when using the Genshin Farm Calendar:
-
Create Plan (Manual Start Date)
When creating a plan for the first time, you can choose any start date — even a future one.
This is especially useful if you're planning long-term upgrades for specific characters or preparing in advance for endgame content.
Example: You know you'll need a Cryo or Dendro character for a Spiral Abyss rotation next week. You can create several plans and compare which one takes fewer days to complete — then choose which character to invest in first.
This flexibility allows you to evaluate different paths before committing Resin or materials. -
Update Plan (Auto Start: Next Day)
Once a plan has been created, any time you click "Update Plan":
- The start date is automatically set to tomorrow
- The calendar is regenerated based on current inventory and progress
-

Priority Rules
-
Weekly Bosses
- Always prioritized early in the week to avoid missing the 3/week cap.
- 60 Resin each — carefully allocated to not block other farming activities.
-
Overflow Events
- If a day has an active Overflow Event (e.g., double rewards), it's prioritized
- Example: If a talent book overflow is active, the system will shift focus to talents even if that wasn’t your top priority.
-
Daily Availability
- Materials are scheduled only on their available days (e.g., books only on Mon/Thu/Sun).
- Mora, EXP materials, and enhancement ores can be scheduled any day
-
Balance & Distribution
- Resin is split across multiple targets to avoid front-loading or overloading a single day
- Plans ensure progression across all selected characters/weapons, not just one.
Shared Inventory
The Shared Inventory lets you manage all your materials and shared resources in one place, such as Mora and EXP books. Each time you update a plan, the inventory values are automatically synchronized, keeping your progress consistent.- Enable the feature using the toggle on the page or in the settings.
- Enter the initial values of your materials (Mora, EXP books, etc.) in the Shared Inventory page.
- Update the values manually when you obtain new materials, and let them be updated automatically each time you save a plan.
- If you open an old plan after updating the inventory, the days and resources calculations may no longer match. In this case, simply perform a plan update to restore program validity.
Plan Comparator
The comparison tool lets you evaluate multiple plans based on character level, weapon level, talents, required days, and resin cost. This helps you quickly identify which plan is the most efficient and best suited to your priorities. To generate the charts, simply select the checkboxes of the plans you want to compare and click the Compare button.-
How to read the scoring charts
Each plan is evaluated according to five main criteria:
- Character Level: higher levels grant more points; 5★ characters receive a small bonus;
- Weapon Level: follows the same logic, with higher points for stronger weapons and an extra bonus for 5★ ones;
- Talents: based on the sum of the three main talents (Normal Attack, Skill, Burst); the higher the levels, the more points you gain;
- Required Days: the fewer days a plan takes to complete, the higher the score;
- Required Resin: plans that consume less resin are considered more efficient.
-
Chart types
-
Radial chart (single plan)
Displays how the score is distributed across each criterion.
- A larger, rounder chart means a solid and well-balanced plan.
- Smaller or uneven sectors highlight weak points (e.g. too much time or low talents).
- Linear chart (plan comparison) Shows the total score of multiple plans at a glance. Useful for deciding which character or weapon to prioritize, especially when resources are limited.
-
Radial chart (single plan)
Displays how the score is distributed across each criterion.
Data & Storage
-
Local Storage (Privacy-Friendly)
- All plans are stored locally in your browser.
- No data is sent to a server — your progress stays on your device.
- Cross-Device Sync Want to move your plan to another device? Use the Export Database function to download your plan, then Import it on the new device.
Limitations (What the Tool Doesn’t Do)
-
Mora Calculation:
The plan doesn't account for Mora gained from commissions or domain runs.
- Daily commissions: ~45–54k Mora (at AR 60)
- Domain runs (Condensed Resin): ~4.5–5k per run
- Weekly bosses: ~24k per week
- AR Differences: Drop rates and rewards are not adjusted for Adventure Rank levels.
- Custom Resin Counts: The tool assumes 180 daily Resin — there's no option to modify this (yet).
Pro Tips
- Use on PC for the best calendar experience — wider view and smoother UI.
- Use tooltips ( icons) to understand input field.
- Update your plan regularly — especially after major farming sessions or level-ups
